With a title like UberSoldier, how can you go wrong? Well, they managed... at least in the demo. I hope that for their sake it is not representative of their final product!

Wrath Reward System - Terminating enemies with extreme prejudice is rewarded in ÜberSoldier through the granting of additional tactical powers.
Yippie. I got increased shield in the demo.

Temporal Shield - When surrounded or hopelessly outnumbered, the Temporal Shield stops and suspends incoming bullets, allowing the hero to turn bullets back on the enemy.
A little more fun than plain old bullet time.. not sure how it will play out in the final game, but you don't get to use it much in the demo.

Independent Object Physics - All articles that make up a character's equipment weapons, ammunition, map cases, and so on - are independent physical objects that can be damaged or knocked off during a battle.
Missing from the demo all together. You can shoot gas canisters and they blow up. Yippie.

Realism - One shot does not always mean one kill in ÜberSoldier. While a shot to an unprotected target's head will kill, a bullet may only glance off a helmet, knocking off the helmet but not killing the target.
No comment on this...

Advanced A.I. - AI opponents will avoid an obvious losing situation so as to gather strength for a concentrated attack, and genetically enhanced AI super soldiers will use telekinetic attacks to fling objects at the player.
Missing from demo! I could walk right up to the enemies without them shooting me! The AI in the demo is horrible.

Advanced Rag Doll Technology - A realistic range of human movement compliments the game's physics engine, providing an advanced degree of authenticity.
I didn't really pay attention to this.

Ever new FPS has "advanced rag doll technology". FEAR is probably the best I've seen yet. Most of the others are just lifeless, boneless bodies flopping around unrealistically.

It's weird, I downloaded the demo from Fileshack and while I was installing it asked for Disc 2. So I went and downloaded it from Gamespot and everything went smoothly.

i played the demo, didnt have issues with it. i was hoping it'd introduce me into the story of the game rather than be an action/tech demo. neat, but definitely didnt sell me.

there was a mod for UT that had that bullet time feature

you could pause all the bullets, then send them flying back at the people who shot them. with infinite bullet time you could just hold for ages as the computer pumped everything had at you. then with one button......MM-MM-MMM-MM-MM-MONSTER KILL! + lots of blood, gibs, and explosions

This demo has a few bugs. First, 1280x1024 didn't work on my system. It did and it didn't. My screen stayed at 1024x768 while the picture was 1280x1024. I could only see 2 out of the handful of options and they didn't work. Setting in game settings to maximume seemed to set my computer into a state where pressing the power button is the only way out.

As far as the game goes - I don't even think it's worth your time downloading this demo. It's short for 500MB. Moving with the character feels clunky. The gun sounds don't feel good, they don't seem to react realistically either. The graphics - NOTHING exciting about them. HL2 looks better. I'd stay it may be compareable to Far Cry, except that FarCry has much better atmosphere compared to this game. I feel like I'm playing in a synthetic world with retarded AI who just shoot, stand, or run at you. They seemed scripted.

I uninstalled the demo right away. I wasn't even worth a second look. Another anticipated game turned to ******.
