Uber programming dorks click especially if you have dealt with PKI certs

One of my co-workers has been tasked to write a JSP or ASP page to sign and verify digital certificates. He needs to be able to import from a smartcard reader or a soft PKI.

Any resources for a little code or does anyone know any APIs that could help out?

With ASP you can probably fire up a vendor-supplied component much like you would in VB. Google for a million ASP sites.
