Went to install the audio driver for an HP a1649n system.. it said I needed the Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver from microsoft before I can install the audio driver. I obtain and install the UAA HD driver, restart and try again. Same thing. Won't let me go past it without telling me i need the UAA HD driver then it closes down.

wtf?

its possible you may have the wrong version of UAA. been searching and im finding all different versions in many places even on the hp site.

So im not really sure. you could try calling them maybe but they will prolly tell you the same things you already know.

You can get a version from the MS website, but its the developers version and doesn't install.
I found a copy from a manufacture that will work,a while back, and have used it ever since, but I don't remember where I stored it.
I'll try and find it and post it.
