U87 DIY kits

Are the U87 DIY kits worth the price of about $500? Are they actually close to what the real thing performs as? I have Rode NT2A mic; i read may posts claiming that while NT2A is a very good mic, it is not even close to U87. Will the U87 DIY kits be better than NT2A?

Assumption is that the U87 kit will be put together correctly; i am EE, so soldering and matching resistors is not an issue...

I am looking at kits like this one:

Thanks ahead
