Hi:

I have recently just switched to dell u2410 from 1280x1024 17". Quite a leap!

Everything works fine except firefox, it just looks like a low res browser window with curved lines (pretty much like a broken monitor @800x600 quality). All other browsers work fine (ie and chrome). I've managed to somehow start firefox and it ran fine as well at high res, but I can't seem to anymore.... Tried reinstalling firefox and rebooting...

All other apps/games etc are perfect..

I've disabled all addons and extensions.

Running win7 x64bit Ultimate on ati 5970.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

This seems to be caused by mixing Firefox's GPU acceleration and using Morphological AA on AMD's GPUs. At least that's how it happened for me, and I saw someone else that had the same issue.

To get it to go back to normal required turning off Morphological filtering (uncheck the box in the Catalyst panel) and then logging off and back on. Turning off Firefox's hardware acceleration probably would also work.
