Anyone have pics from their scuba/snorkeling escapades? I love seeing underwater pics from people who aren't national geographic photographers.

Anyway, I'll be sarting an internship in a month which requires me to scuba dive in a 30' tank full of carribean reef fish everyday.
As such I'm thinking of buying the WP-DC600 housing for my Canon s230. Anyone have any experience with this who can comment?

Not I, but it sounds like you're getting into a pretty cool job.

For a (macro)biology major interested in marine life (possible graduate degree in marine biology/evolution someday?) this is a DREAM JOB. Too bad it's only a 6 month internship. I'll have to try to really really impress them so that they'll let me stay on for another internship or maybe even offer me a job (wishful thinking 😉 ).

Have you ever seen any of Helmut Debelius' work? He does some amazing underwater photography. I have his book about sea slugs and it has some breath-taking shots.

The last name looks very familiar. I'm betting I have seen some of his work. A favorite of mine is David Doubilet if National Geographic. He's for sure done stuff you've seen.

We always just use those lovely $15 underwater disposable cameras. But I'm sure a real camera made for that would be much better.

I figure that since I've got the digicam, I might as well save on the cameras and then the developing as well. 😉
