i don't get it, what have we solved here? Did we get the ones responsible for the deaths of 4 contractors? Did we pacify the town? What did the deaths of those marines who were involved in the operations accomplish? What about the innocent civilians who were caught up in the fighting? This is so stupid.

I'm not mad because we assaulted the town. I'm not mad because we decided to resolve it peacefully. I'm mad because it seems like we're doing a half-ass job. Why did we go half way and decide to negotiate? Its stupid. We should have either taken the town and eliminated the militants there or we should have resolved it peacefully in the first place.

I don't think the CPA or the US military anticipated the intensity and coordination of the resistance in Fallujah nor the political fallout across Iraq and the Arab world of the assault on Fallujah. A negotiated settlement of some kind is probably the best outcome that can be hoped for.

You really think this Admin care about solving any problem in Iraq? The only reason they are negotiating is because November is coming up soon and 100 death in half a month don't look good during election.

Because its not about the war. Its about a bunch of spoiled brats. It's like a kid that wants one thing, gets it, then wants another. If Bush cured aids tomorrow people would cry and wanna know why cancer is being ingnored.
