That's a lot to keep in my head. Do you count pass throughs as separate events from staying? IOW, do I get a point for driving through Jersey, as well as 3 points for visiting on a different occasion? I much prefer passing through :^D

You only get to score each state once, based on the trip through with the maximum time. So if you drove straight through New Jersey a dozen times and yet stayed only one night, you get 3 points for New Jersey.

51. I'm Canadian and now in my 80's. My US travel was about 2/3 business and 1/3 family vacation, from 1955 to 2016, in 14 states.

I get into the mid 80s and lose count. I have to try to remember trips as a kid…what states were just driven through, what states had overnight stays, longerr than overnight stays…and I’m presuming military service counts as well?

What's the minimum time frame for lived here?

I think > 1 year is reasonable?

This looks like a fun game. Is there a website that keeps track of everything and you can assign points to a state?

dang, 113 was a lot more than i figured.

i used to travel a lot, but after COVID i haven't left my state and probably never will again.

i try to avoid popular spots and i stay away from large crowds now. mostly just sit in my apartment.

I scored 153. There's still a bunch of New England I haven't seen plus HI, AK, ND, LA, and MS. I get to count a point for SC only because we missed our turn in GA and drove about a hundred feet into the state. 😛

I counted states driven through but not overflown as the pilot in command. Using that criteria, it is much easier to count the ones I have not passed through/over.
5 in the upper right corner. We want to go leaf-peeping there soon.
We've done CT-West and South inclusive.
My wife reminded me of a short trip into MA from CT. Check!

It adds up fast when you live in a few places. We have not, but as a consequence have spent 4 or more days in all the connected states and out beyond a few from Washington. The RV thing 🙂
