Nope, just remembering decades of the left blaming America for the Cold War.
Yes, Truman, Kennedy, and Johnson were huge "blame 'merrica for the Cold War" Presidents. It was everything they could do to avoid sanctioning the USSR or fighting proxy wars against them.

And the hippies who were against the US government continuing the French Indochina war also blamed 'merrica. Or something.

All because the John Birch Society and Rush Limbaugh has shit this into your skull for the past 60 years and you believe it, because otherwise...uncomfortable situation where you're forced to deal with objective observable reality.

Although it is fun watching RINOs who were TrueRepublicans™ just a few years ago adopting the exact same arguments the hippies have been making for the past 60 years, in. re: modern US conservatism. They're barely able to trot out the old, reliable BothSidesDoIt™ enabling non sequitur, although the truly skilled do it reflexively when they're able.

The more things change, and all of that.

Keep on keepin' on.

Oh.

OK, so what's the right's excuse this time, deciding that our antagonist enemies are our friends? You must admit, it is rather strange, no? :D

or, what Alien42 "said"

I don't think republicans and conservatives are capable of addressing historical facts in this way. At some point, I'm more interested in why they accept the right's sudden and bold acceptance of all these policies that they have long been accusing the left.

For once history repeating itself may be a good thing.

The interesting thing for me will be how Trump's loyalists will try to blame the Dems for this legislation that all but two Repubs voted in favor of.

Or is this the tipping point where even Trump's zealots start to abandon his Yacht of Fairy Tale Dreams?

I think before he was even inaugurated the average Republican congressman knew Trump was completely full of shit. This is just the opportunity they've been patiently waiting for.

As for the rest of America: With any luck he wont have even a single Christmas in the White House, and that makes me so freakin happy.
