Does anyone here happen to have a snapshot of US Postal Code data that I can "borrow"? At minimum I need the 5 digit postal code, the latitude and longitude, and the city/state. Any other data that comes with what you've got would be nice..but I MUST have the coordinates.
I'm writing software that needs to calculate distances between zip codes (I.E. show items that are near by, sorted by distance).
I know you can purchase them for under $100 (and a little more for a subscription service), but I don't want to spend money on it untill I'm sure my code will work right with it. This project is being funded 100% by my wallet so...you get the idea
Give me as much data as you can, but I'm only asking for a sample amount (maybe 50 records or so)
Also, let me know where you obtained the data from so I can purchase the subscription when I launch the product.
