the car is one year old. sorry, but i'll take my relability ratings after a decade. hell, my 15 year old honda hasn't had a single thing go wrong in the last two years.

i love the winners for their various catagories. the FJ Cruiser won for "small SUV." the fact that it's huge and based on the 4Runner apparently escaped them. the next "larger" SUV winner was the Highlander, a vehicle that is significantly smaller than the FJ. the lexus ES, a med-size sedan based on the camry, was awarded best "large luxury" or some similar foolish title. i can't argue with the cars, but these guys clearly are incapable of reading spec sheets, let alone actually driving the cars they are rating.

Actually, it's a global car. Part Mazda, part Volvo, part Euro-Ford, part US Ford.

The reliability wars are over, people. All new cars are reliable

All new cars are reliable? Maybe somebody forgot to tell Ford, GM and Mercedes about it.
Judging reliability of new cars is like judging a marriage after the honeymoon.

Really? Then why have Ford and GM cars consistently ranked better than industry average for reliability for the past decade?
As for Mercedes, luxury car buyers are less concerned about reliability, for obvious reasons. If you can afford to buy one, then you can afford to maintain it.
