With nothing. Makes you really want to cheer for your church and relegion, huh?:(

U.S. cardinals returned home from the Vatican on Thursday to a storm of criticism for their refusal to endorse the automatic dismissal of Roman Catholic priests proven to have sexually abused children.

>>> Only ?notorious? priests guilty of ?serial, predatory sexual abuse of minors? should be dismissed immediately, they said in a policy proposal drafted for consideration by U.S. bishops in June. In all other cases, it would be up to local bishops to decide whether an abusive priest was a threat to children and should be ?laicized,? or defrocked. <<<

This is bad enough.

Then it gets worse.

>>>The statement included no pledge to publicly disclose the names of priests who molested children, no promise to report abuse claims to law enforcement authorities and no specifics on how to help victims.<<<

Lock up the children. If this is how you want to teach your children right from wrong, ethical behavior, and respect for the laws of God, keep them away from this group. They sure aren't looking out for your best interest. They are too busy covering their own sorry asses. These aren't men of God. They are quite the oppisite.

Your opinion?

i was listening to NPR , and the many things the vatican has done is sad.

A priest in Mexico fatherd a child with a 15 year old girl, now he admits he did it and the church sends him off to brazil.

a Priest in uraguay molested 30 boys, he admits and the transfer him to mexico, he is now giving mass and taking confessions.

a Priest in Los Angeles was charged by the police and before he was taken into custody the vatican chartered a private flight for him to be taken out of the country.

Priests all over the United States are being found out and the vatican is ready to pay out 500 million dollars as if that will solve the problem.

the catholic church is a farce, they claim to be able to guide the people in their religion to live a moral life, and they themselves commit agregous sins against youth or try to cover it up and this reaches up all the way to the cardinal college and the vatican itself.

Its not my relegion either, and I feel real sad for those who supported with all their heart mind and soul, these fleabag creeps that parade with authority over them. It is dispicable. It is shameful from the getgo. They are putting there authority over the law of the land, The laws of God, the common sense of the public that are members and have been supporters from generation to generation for hundreds of years. And you know what? Where is the Pope in all this? Where is the Devine inspiration?

I'll tell you where it is. It is withdrawn from the Catholic church. The Cathlolic church and Pope do not have authority from God to administer the afairs of the Lords Church. If they did, we would not be having a discusion now. This would have been dealt with under Gods law and we would rejoice. Instead, parishiners hang their head in shame for their leadership. For them I really feel sad. :(
