Isn't it likely that it has some relationship to your company or industry?

well, they give some semblance of a hint in saying it's a "communication headline"

at any rate, i work for a professional services firm (audit, tax, consulting)

That doesn't make any sense. It's either poor grammar or a clue.

If it's a headline from the media it's a communication's headline.
My question would be waht is the singular 'communication' they refer to in the clue. Do you have a company newsletter or something?

oh and I say:

You minus personal computer equals poor human.

~~edit:

OR it could be a headline ABOUT communication....

Are you getting VOIP?

Sometimes PC to Phone calls are referred to PC/PH that is what came to my head first.

Any clue??

U = PC + PH
U = P(C+H)
or
P = U/(C+H)
P = U/C + U/H

Not sure any of those help any, but, I'm not about to get an IPOD if I solve it either.

well, it was within a newsletter sent out by IT. and it was within a newsletter stating that it is easy to set up a PIN for our new company-wide portal

then they just say,

"As an added bonus, the [company portal] team is offering an Apple iPod to one individual who sends us a deciphered version of this communication headline: U ? PC = PH. "

I'm baffled.

U Unlimited Time (broadcasting operating schedules)

edit:

From acronym finder, I couldn't find anything with PC or PH relating to that though.

It's most likely just that the letters are the first letter of some words that make a statement. Like the Genius Tests that are online...

88PK = 88 Piano Keys
9 P in the SS = 9 Planets in the Solar System
etc...
