On the other hand what else could they do with that CPU and memory? Their OS and software innovation has stagnated and when you can't rebuild you repaint.
well sure there probably are useful things that they could build into an OS that would use CPU cycles..
however, I don't want an all in one piece of software, I want to be able to dictate what CPU cycles (and what RAM) go to what program, rather then just sit there and let windows eat it all up on something I will never notice (except if I have a fatal crash, requiring a rollback, however I'd rather just reformat after that).
I like clean installations, with next to nothing running in my taskmanager. It's amazing how my CPU time that all virus scan software uses..
