u guys ever heard about those websites where u get a free car

spanky

Lifer
i saw some guy post on craigslist about getting a free car. basically, how it works is u apply for a free car with some sponsors. if they pick u, u get a free car to drive for about 3 years. the catch is u pay for gas, maintenance, and insurance. oh, and they also paint a whole mess of ads all over the car too. so anyway, i was fumbling around the website to for more details and decided to join. when i click on the join button, the dude wants me to send him $30... then he will send me info. funk that man. anyway know whats the deal here? too good to be true (ie - scam)?

The trick is you collect $30 from 1,000 suckers by selling them the secret to getting a free car, which is:

there used to be deal like that,i thought it went away with all the dot bombs

there are still a few around like that. the other day there was a car parked in my neighbors driveway that was plastered with gatorade ads. from what I remember, if you had a fairly rare car, or a car that got peoples attention, companies would give you a gas allowance, or pay your car payment for a certain amount of time as long as you put a certain amount of miles on each week.

Question: Is it true that there are companies who will provide you a free car or pay you to "wrap" your own car with colorful advertising? YES. Question: Is it easy to qualify for these free car programs? NO. Question: There are companies on the Internet that offer directories of free car advertising programs - are they legitimate? YES, but you need to know more before you decide to take their offer.

thanx for the link. that clears the fog a bit.

Yes they do exist just like police/government auctions exist.

All these places charge you $20 - $30 to get more information.

If you're ok with throwing away $30, then go for it.

Plus, they're not just going pick ANY person to do this. They usually only choose those in high population areas, those who travel major roadways very frequently, and those willing to drive to special events for appearances to put the car on display, like football games and such. They want their advertisements to be seen by MANY people, so folks living in B.F.E. can forget about ever getting any consideration for this.

Look at the OP! It's spanky. This is no parody, and yes, it is retarded.

I know, but I was praying for it to be a parody...would've justified the stupidity just a little.

Nope it's not a parody as sad as that may seem.
