sssshhhh. There's a new football "league" the UFL.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U...Football_League_(2009)

Allegedly this 4 team league had its first game last night. The Las Vegas Locomotives played the California Redwoods. There will be 6 games this season (good luck!) with a "championship" game thereafter.

I have no idea whether I even get the "Versus" tv channel.
I was wondering if anyone saw the game last night?

Err, i didn't know the season started already lol

What channel was it on.

And wtf are they doing trying to compete with the NFL, they should do it offseason

Yep - on Versus channel so if you have Direct TV you did not see it.

I'll admit - I flipped back and forth with the Nebraska/Mizzou game.

Uniforms were really bright!

Versus is a sports-oriented cable television network in the United States. It is owned by Comcast.
It was previously known as OLN until a name change on September 25, 2006. Formerly, OLN stood for Outdoor Life Network, and the name was licensed from Outdoor Life magazine. Under that name, the channel was launched in July 1995 and at the time focused almost exclusively on fishing, hunting, and other related outdoor sports.
i have seen OLN channel sometime in the past not sure if it is on directv that i currently have or if it was when i had Dish network

LOL! Tim Rattay is so bad that he is a 3rd string quarterback on a UFL team!

He was the starter for the Niners for like an entire season years ago.

LOL? 🙁

Oooh. I just checked, since the poster said that Versus was owned by Comcast, and I have Comcast.
I do get it.
Maybe I'll watch a game.

I watched maybe 10-15 minutes of the Cal/LV game because I was confused as to what it was .. never heard of it before. I have absolutely no idea how they expect this to compete with NCAA/NFL football, shrug. It was watchable.. I mean, it's football. The play was fairly bad at times, it was like watching a two fairly bad college teams (which I suppose is essentially what this league is).

According to the wikipedia article, all games will be broadcast online also. I might check it out, just to see what it is is all about.
