Typing Glitches

Ever since I reformatted my computer, I can't seem to type quickly without my cursor moving to a different part of the screen by itself. I'm typing and all of a sudden the cursor moves somewhere else and starts typing elsewhere.

Do you guys ever have this problem when you type quickly and the cursor ends up moving elsewhere?? I cannot type more than 40WPM without something going wrong! Is there some sort of a glitch in windows?

I've seen malware kick the "focus" all over the place. Is your system secure?

On a different tangent, did you install your motherboard chipset drivers?

I have had the problem on multiple systems where the typing location (not focus) jumps back to the location that I originally mouse click when setting focus to a text box that has existing text.

This will cause text to be inserted at the same location a couple of times.

This seems to only happen in the browser text window, not in Word, Wordpad, Notepad, etc

thank you so much mechBgon! this is why i love this forum! i'm tyiping this message right now with absolutely no problems!

apparently i had forgotten to install the chipset drivers! that solved the problem real quick!

ahh, strange, i'm still getting these problems, although it's not as often, but it still keeps occurring.

Do you have a laptop with a trackpad?

no i do not have a trackpad.

it seems like i am only getting these problems in OUTLOOK, instant messenger, and WORD. I do not have these problems as often when i am typing in other applications.
