Hello forum,

I just purchased a Evga gtx570 hd sc last night from frys, for you gtx570 owners out there what kind of overclock should you expect from a gtx570 with stock voltage or a slight vcore bump?

Not looking to do anything extreme as well the card is the hd model with the 560ti cooler,so extreme voltages are out of the question which is fine by me,i just need stability more then maximum performance.

The choice of card was purely personal and with no Kepler 600 series in full blossom with better chances of having lunch with Charlie Sheen at Rotten Ronies then having any in stock gtx680 or gtx670 cards, the gtx570 was the next runner up so please,no 7850 recommendations, the choice as mentioned before was purely personal.:)

I run mine at 835mhz everyday with a several bumps in the vcore. I think my particular sample is average or even below average, considering the giant asus direct II triple slot heatsink on it.

If I'm not mistaken my Twin Frozr III topped out at 825MHz Core and 2100MHz memory without voltage bumps.

Try for 875 - 900 core w/ 1.075mV or under -- I think you should be fine w/ that.

fwiw: I recently had two Evga gtx570 HD's that ran @ 900c w/ 1.100mV.

Congrats on your purchase! Everytime I overclock my EVGA GTX 570 to 25MHz pass reference, but I get scared and bring it back to reference clock so can't comment much on what is stable... I use MSI Afterburner to help with the tinkering of the OCing...

I don't see you on BF3 anymore?

my evga 570 classified ran at 950 core @ 1.100mV, pretty spectacular, even though the heat wasn't good at that temp. Now i just run stock

Nice overclock,it seems almost gtx570 is able to hit 2100 memory which is sweet,i got mine at that now,i have played a bit of BF3 just now and its rock stable at 825/2100 with a stock vid of 1.038v at load in game.

Gonna double check airflow in my antec 300 case or possibly remove the side case fan as i got my gtx570 hd cooler at 70% fanspeed and in a 75 degree fah room its coasting at about 71cel load,so its trivia if the cooler isn't even close as good as the gtx570 vapor chamber or i need to look at airflow before i try 1.075v.

Think 840 core would work at 1.038v?I think 850 would be pushing it.

Highest I've tried with my TFIII's is 950 and it was fine with some extra voltage. I usually run them at stock though (780) unless the game I am playing could benefit... usually that means the odd time I play a game in 3D vision mode, not very often since most games don't do it well with few exceptions (Arkham City as 1 example, 3D is flawless in that). At 950 they still run cooler than a reference 570 @ 732. Gotta love that cooler.

Looks like 845/2100 is stable with 1.038v vcore....playing BF3 all high with hbao enabled and medium post aa with motion blur disabled,it seems to hold pretty well at 60fps most of the time with vsync enabled, keeping frames locked at 60fps keeping my gpu around 64cel max during gameplay so i'm happy.

Think i am pretty much set on these clocks, unless anyone thinks 1.038v can go 850+?:p

I might be willing to go 1.050v or so on the vcore, but not to sure where that could get me.

That's a good overclock. The extra 5-20mhz with added voltage isn't needed and won't be noticeable at all.

I decided to try out 301.24 beta and heck it kept crashing BF3 after the install till i put it back to stock core...felt kinda sluggish even back at 800 core and very choppy....buggy driver perhaps?

Gonna revert back to 296.10 and see if stability comes back,if so 845/2100 will have to do.:D

Edit:going into the programs to remove the drivers,i found psychics x wasn't installed with 301.24 despite it being selected to install.

Overvolt the 570's with caution - Their VRMs are not up to the task in many cases, and the cards go Boom. The exceptions are the aftermarket 570's with more VRMS [Twinfrozr III, DCII and one or two more]. 1.1v on a Ref 570 is asking for trouble sooner or later.

Gonna try 1.050v as a max safe voltage and see how far the core can go,it wasn't as stable as i thought at 845 core...will try 860 core and report back.
