So my mother asks me to come over today, because she is getting some new furniture delivered and she needed help moving
some stuff around... Delivery was promised between 12 and 4. So we sit around all day waiting for it to show up.
Finally about 5:30 the guys show up... no call... no nothing.

Why can't people ever show up when they are supposed to?

that's is all

They get distracted with other tasks/customers. Or some jobs take longer than they originally thought.

That's still no reason for not calling though. :disgust:

The people doing the scheduling are not the same ones driving and humping furniture. Bitch at the desk jockey, not the grunt.

I'll blame it on the corporate mindset of that company.

I've had people like yours blow me off for days and others that give phone call updates every half hour about the status of my delivery.

Does it matter to them? They have your sh!t and it's not like you are paying C.O.D. (or are you?). Either way, they're getting payed.

on a somewhat related note i was having cable installed one day, the company said the guy would be there between 8 and 12... so i wait in the front room of a 490 sq ft apartment for 4 hours, for the last hour with 3 other people. at noon i call up the cable company and ask where the guy is... they said he'd knocked 30 minutes before and no one answered. BS. if that guy was there he didn't knock. because the next week was move in week for all the college students around me it was another 3 weeks before i could get cable and a cable modem. bastards :|
