Well Rolo lets use Nvidia as an example:
GTX 512MB was available (for the most part

) on Monday - the same time as the reviews. Most folks were happy with that.
Let assume they could not have gotten the 512 out any sooner and still had it in stores.
Would you have like to see a preview of the 512 perfomance earlier? I think you would have considering you posted in several threads about how folks who were interested in the XT should wait.
If you would have liked a preview earlier than the actual hard release date would you also have liked a press release stating previews would be available before launch.
Basically I'm trying to find out if folks want the cards available the same day as the review (assuming the review has to wait for the card stock to build up) or if you'd like to know ahead of time about the performance.
Personally as long as I date is firm and stock is available the day I was told I would be happy with a review a month ahead of time and another months warning that the review was coming. I'm never in a rush to buy so the more info the better.
To me a hard launch is one where the date I'm given
whenever that might be is firm and stock is available. I tend to be more upset when I'm given a date and its not met due to incompetence or out right lies.
What do you think?
