I got the non-drowsy kind and it still really f-ed me up. I'm all light headed and dazed right now. woooo
Also, that is the most disgusting stuff I have ever put in my mouth. It tastes like a combination of rubbing alcohol, the strongest most disgusting mouthwash ever, and also has a generic nasty medicine flavor, like the taste you get when pills you're supposed to swallow start to dissolve in your mouth. To make things worse, you have to drink a whole 2 tablespoons of the stuff. I seriously almost threw up.
I think I'm gonna make an appiontment with the doctor now... I've had a fever on and off for almost a week, as well as a nasty cough. :(

Even the non-drowsy stuff messes me up, I'm not a zombie like with the drowsy stuff, but it feels like my head is a balloon detatched from my body.

I had a cold for about 3 weeks straight over the holidays, when I was visiting my parents I took some of the Equate Nyquil knockoff and almost threw up it tasted so bad. It's like they distill the alcohol in it through roadkill carcasses or something.

The non-drowsy has pseudoephedrine (sudafed) in it. It does that to some people, myself included. I get light headed and woosy feeling as well from it.

Just got back from the doctor and they said I had bronchitis. They gave me some antibiotics.

Hope you feel better soon.

That is why I try hard to avoid medicines like that for mild/moderate diseases that time will cure. The symptoms they address (runny nose, cough, etc) are so easy to tollerate or to eliminate by other methods. But the symptoms those medicines cause are absolutely intollerable. They are basically an upper and a downer mixed. Dead tired yet you can't sleep. End result is a miserable detached medicine head feeling that I can't stand. I'd rather blow my nose on occasion (eat hot peppers to clear this up too) than to deal with that crap.

The anti-biotics will likely do nothing other than possibly create more drug-resistant germs that the world will have to deal with in a decade or two.

Actually the tiredness lasts for only like 30 minutes, then I just feel nice and relaxed.

Yea, and they have tests to differentiate, which they hopefully did before handing out antibiotics. 1 more example why you shouldn't listen to ATOT's medical advice. "You have the flu, wait it out," turns into "Oh, you have a bacterial infectioon that needs antibiotics."
