Tyan vs. Supermicro (Is the stability there yet?)

I have been a huge fan of Supermicro boards for ages, but I am now in the need of a new LGA 1155 board and there is just not the right one for me in the Supermicro lineup. Tyan, on the other hand, has exactly what I am looking for with their S5512GM4NR motherboard.

My question though is how reliable/stable is Tyan these days. I have not used one of the boards in a build for over 7 seven years and I am concerned that their boards may not be as solid the bulletproof boards Supermicro offers.

Can anyone speak favorably of Tyan and convince he otherwise?

I can't speak to the recent Tyan MB releases but Tyan has been putting out good reliable server boards for twice as long as Supermicro.

No issues with my dual-Xeon Tyan S5396. Tyan's support is very good, too. Interesting MB you're looking at there. Single Xeon, onboard quad-gigabit LAN. Whatcha builiding? :)

Related note: I am not using my S5396, dual Xeon E5410, 8GB RAM setup. Been too busy to put on the bay. Would be happy to make a fair deal. PM if interested.
