For future upgrading purposes i'm curious as to what chip your S1854 is running. Also the motherboard revision and batch number F,H,J etc. yours is.

Thanks

I have 3 of these boards all running good #1 is rev.c gotta 633 celeron #2 is rev d its running a pII 333 slot 1 and last rev j running 600e flip chip all are running good with out a problem all have latest bios at 1.07 .

I am running Rev. D and I have a celeron 466 PPGA in it. I have had really good luck with my s1854. My friend has a first run of the tyan s1854 I guess it would be rev a (?) and it has been nothing but headache for him. But they changed it since then. If I could get a t-bird in it I would keep mine.
But I have sold it all mb/processor/video card and today fedex should bring a box with an ABIT kt7 raid, a 20 GB HD and a 1.0 ghz t-bird. 😛'''

It will take pretty much anything.
Currently I have c600@900 on my TT400-B (MSI slocket).
Using 1.00 BIOS which says its P3-900. 🙂
Stable , I didnt have to reformat HD since I installed
this mobo a year ago. Back then I had c366@550.

I have a rev (C)&(D), running at 750 & 933 respectively, using a 500e and a 700e. I've had the usual computer problems as everyone else has, but I really can't fault the boards for any of them. Using Bios rev 1.00 on both.

Vrangel,
I am also running my Celeron 600 at 900 MHZ, using MSI 6905 slocket. I had to bump the voltage to 1.75 from the default 1.7 V. I cannot read the CPU temperature as Tyan S1854 doesn't offer mobo monitoring. I was just wondering what cooling system you are using for the processor. I am just using the retail HSF. It is very stable though, but I keep the case open for proper air circulation, just in case. Could you please recommend a good cooling for my CPU? Thanks a lot. Also, is there a way that we could read the CPU temperature?
