Tyan Tomcat II, Win2000 Pro...windows won't start with 2 CPUs

I have a Tyan S1562D dual S7 mobo, 2 P200s. Installed Win2000 Pro with one CPU (because Setup balked with both) now when adding the 2nd CPU windows won't start :| just black screen when I should see "Starting Windows 2000..."

Any ideas?

sorry this doesn't help but man, that board brings back memories. 430hx chipset yes? Hehehe.

Installing Linux finally gave me the answer to this....it seems the interrupt controller on the mobo is bad, or something like that. The board will only work with one CPU
But I scored a S1564D, which is a better mobo anyway, has 2 VRMs
