I am having a problem with my IRQs. It seems like NOTHING (PCI-related) is being assigned to a regular IRQ (3,4,5,7,10,11). Everything I plug into a PCI slot ends up assigned to a number 16 or so and higher (all the way to 19). This would be all fine and good if all of my PCI cards worked with those virtual IRQ numbers, but unfortunately, they don't. I have the TYAN Tiger MP (S2460), and am running Windows 2000, in case you need to know. I'm wondering if I'm missing maybe a BIOS setting somewhere that disables PCI cards from taking regular IRQs? I'm pretty lost at the moment. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

sounds like you might be a candidate for disabling ACPI in win2k.

check out this AT FAQ for some more info

if you search around this forum for "acpi" you'll find methods to disable acpi and return your computer to "standard pc" w/out the need for a re-install. of course, easiest way is to just re-install, and RIGHT at the beginning of the win2k install, hit F5 and choose "standard pc"

let me know if you can't find links to a way to do it w/out re-installing if you're interested.
