Tyan Tiger MP Temp sensor problems and AGP problems

Hey, I just bought a Tiger MP used from someone, and it seems to be in perfect condition, except for a small problem. I'm pretty sure it has temp sensors that sense the die temp, since it doesn't seem to have a thermistor below each socket. At the moment I only have one CPU, an XP 1800+ installed. For some reason, it reports the temp as being 76C all the time. It's definatly not this hot, as it ran 55C on my old mobo.

Also, I'm having a bit of a problem getting my SiS Xabre to work well. On my old mobo, with the same cpu and ram, i usually got 6000-7000 3dmarks. On the Tiger, I only get 4000. On both mobos it only works at 2x AGP, probably because of SiS's crappy drivers. The Tiger has an AMD 760 MP chipset and my old mobo, a Gigabyte GA7VKML has a Via KM266 chipset.

The temp is higher as it is measured from INSIDE the chip not under it. So long as it is stable, don't worry.

For the video card. Do you have the latest AMD AGP drivers. Yu can get them at AMD.com 😉

Figured it out finally, gotta use the Tyan System monitor, nothing else, even BIOS HW monitor, will display the correct temps. Really weird, looks like they need another bios update.
