Does anyone know offhand what the fastest MP processor is that this board can take? Im not sure Tyan's site is completely up to date. Im currently running 1200MHz x2. I'd like to go to 2400+ MP's, since they run on 266MHz FSB, which the motherboard handles. But Tyan's site only says 1900+.

Thanks in advance...

The limit is 1900+. You'll potentially damage the board using anything faster. The Tiger MP only has a standard ATX (No P4 connector or molex like MPX boards) and it cannot supply enough power to the board for anything faster.

There is one post on 2cpu.com about someone doing the L5 bridge mod on a pair of XP2400+'s and they come up detected as 2000Mhz processors. (he's using one of the beta BIOS's)

But yea, alot of people are reporting melting their mobo power connector when loading their system and/or using high-end graphics cards.

Thanks for the info, quite depressing. I love this mobo, never had 1 problem with it. But after a bout a year, im starting to get the itch for more power.

In your guys' opinions, what is the best dual athlon mobo out there right now?
