Gateway Accessory Store has the Tyan Tiger MP mobo for:

$209
- $25 off $149 coupon
------------------------
= $184 shipped (free shipping on orders $199 and over)

Keep in mind that the new AMD-760MPX chipset is just around the corner. It uses the new 768 Southbridge which can run the PCI bus at 66MHz. (The current AMD-760MP chipset uses the 766 Southbridge which runs the PCI bus at 33MHz.) Other than that, this is a pretty good price for the Tiger MP mobo IMHO.

Yes, the Tyan S2466 is now being sold for $250 it has the MPX chipset and Onboard 3Com 3C920 NIC on-board

Also, now being released for Dual MP/XP is the Asus A7M266-D Dual Athlon MBD also uses the AMD 760MPX chipset

link for the Asus A7M266-D

Pricewatch shows ETA January. This will be the mobo for my next system I think. Imagine being able to run mpeg4 encoding with divx while at the same time play UT. 🙂

I wish they could include on-board LAN and/or SCSI controller though. It seems neither is included in the A7M266-D.

A great price for a great board.

Just make sure you update to the beta 1.03b BIOS if you plan on using a Radeon 8500-variety card.

What CPU does this board support? From the link I read: Maximum Processor Speed (MHz) 462 ??

Having a dual Athlon system is really kinda cool. 🙂

Hey Doc,

Coupon site isn't loading for me...

I also cannot find this coupon over at JumponDeals.com.

Could you please check it out or if anyone else knows how to get this coupon, please LMK.

Thanks

I have one of these sweeties and I am running Dual 1Ghz (Morgan) Durons no problem...

Apps I highly recommend you use if you get one...

CPUfsb to overclock it...
wpcredit memory tweaks....
speedfan for Temp Monitoring and Fan Control.....
(More info n all of these can be found in the 2cpu.com Motherboard forum)

I have mine fully tweaked and running sweet at 1.15Ghz with these apps there is really no reason to wait for the 760MPX boards IMHO Unless you have a need for the 66Mhz PCI or the On board 3Com NIC....

I wonder if the on-board 3com nic for the upcoming 760MPX boards uses the 66MHz PCI bus? Does anyone know?

Also, what peripherals can I get currently that use a 66MHz PCI bus? I know Adaptec has an Ultra3 SCSI controller card that does. And I think there are some nic's out there like the gigabit nics that can run at 66Mhz too. Anything else?
