Quick question...haven't been paying attention to the hardware scene in a while so pls excuse my ignorance...

I have a Tyan Tiger 2460 (see autosig) that I melted a processor on and want to get back in the mix.

#1 - Can you run dual XP's? I vaguely recall that at one point AMD made changes so that it wouldn't work any more. Specifically what I'm thinking about doing is getting two new XP 2000+'s. I would greatly prefer having it work OOTB and not having to deal w modifying the processor and closing circuits.

#2 - Assuming 1==true, what's the fastest I can go? Anything w a 266FSB?

The Athlon XP
s t0 1900+ seemed to work without a mod. I have seen on some sites people modding thier XP's to be MP's using same type of tools used to unlock thier chips for O/C'ing. If I see that page I will post for you. As for O/C'ing on Tyan Tiger's forget it... nothing I have seen in BIOS to get you over the norm.
