Tyan Thunder/Tiger MP users: What sound card are you using?

I have a Philips Acoustic Edge in right now. I can't take the crashes much more.

I dumped a SB Live 5.1 due to pops and clicks occasionally.

What a shame too. The AE sounds so sweet compared to the SB Live.

I have been through the full gamut of drivers, slots and troubleshooting.

How is the Santa Cruz? Anyone using it?

On a side note, no problem with Audigy either with S2460 or S2462...

OK, so tell me about the Audigy. Is it better sounding than the Live or Cruz?

I was stunned at how much better the AE sounded over the Live 5.1.

I don't want to make the same mistake with the Audigy.

I will be changing this tomorrow and I can get either one (the Audigy or the Cruz).

Honestly, between Santa Cruz and Audigy, it's a toss up. I bought a couple OEM Audigy's just for the hell of it, basically. I don't notice any real difference between the Audigy and the Santa Cruz. Both work well with the Tyan duallie boards, and are flawless under 2K/XP. If you can get a good deal on the Santa Cruz, I'd probably take that over the Audigy. Then again, they're both at the same price point for OEM versions. The choice is yours

I have a Compusa close enough to get that $60 deal.

Santa cruz working and sounding great..... No clicks, pops, or crashes.

I like the control panel and equalizer too.
