Okay, heres the deal. Got a Tyan Thunder 2500 with dual slot 2 PIII 1000/512/133 cpus and 4x128mb Infineon ECC REG PC133 all installed in pairs and in the proper banks. I'm trying to use an old but working 24x CD-Rom and a 2500mhz Quantum Fireball ( I use it for testing systems on thier first boot as I know it works and it's old and small enough to work with any board oiut there ). for video I'm using a 4mb S3 AGP 2x video card that works fine in every other system I put it in. I'm only using 1 PSU, a 300w 20 pin ANTEC PSU ( from before they started having quality issues ).
Here the issue, the board boots, shows the diagnosis screens for the system and the onboards SCSI then I get that lovely little "_" that just sits there on the top left of the screen. Thats it, thats all it does.
I have disabled the onboards SCSI, the onboard sound and all the other boot options in that part of the bios, I put the cd rom first in the list and ide hdd second. All other boot options were disabled to reduce any issues and weed those out as the problem.
The bios is v1.4 and I've googled my butt off and made sure that everything on it is compatible.
Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to boot the system some special way ? Does the board require 2 psu's to be used or is that just for double redundancy ?
I'm going to continue looking on TYAN's site and googling while I see if anyone here can possibly help me out.
