Tyan S2866G3NR video issues

I recently bought a Tyan S2866G3NR, the one with the integrated, SIS video. Problem is, the video looks like crap - text is fuzzy with both the Debian squeeze vesa and SIS drivers (even worse with SIS as video flickers). So, bought PNY GeForce GT 430 PCIe card with 4GB RAM. But, I am unable to get any output from this video card, after changing bios settings to use a PCIe card and such.

Question: has anyone had any success with any PCIe video card in this MB?

Question: does anyone know if one needs the small Tyan SLI Card M5001 inserted in the SODIMM socket in order for a PCIe video card to work? I don't have this card. If so, does anyone know where one might look to source such a card.

According to the manual you must use the SLI Selector Card in the single card position. This card matches the picture (page 36) in the manual.

DrTan: HUGE thanks to you! I've been looking for the card described in the Tyan manual but had no luck until you pointed me in the right direction.

I wonder how many non-Tyan motherboards had this same card and why they designed it this way???

Actually, problem is still not solved. I've now tried to get 3 GeForce cards working (each with different RAM amounts), both with and with out the SLI card installed. Same bad result with each attempt: fan on card spins but "NO SIGNAL" on monitor. In contrast, put in ancient Radeon PCi card and that worked without any drama. Still seems wrong to have to use ancient PCI card when PCI-e slot is right there empty...
