Do you mean the EZ BIOS overlay utility that you use to get a large capacity HDD to work with an outdated mobo/BIOS?

You have to use the EZ BIOS diskette (program) at boot, disable EZ BIOS, then uninstall it (or just disable it but leave the utility installed). I'm not sure if this will kill your partition or what, it's been a long time since I've worked with one of those overlay utilities.

I'm surprised the hard drive with EZ BIOS on it worked after swapping to a different motherboard. Often they won't boot unless EZ BIOS was installed using that motherboard.

Yeah, sorry if I didn't make that clear. EZ BIOS is a software utility on floppy that comes with most IDE HDD's and is used to overcome HDD capacity limitations of early motherboard BIOS. Its part of Maxtor's 'Max Blast' and Seagate includes it with 'Disc Wizard' (I think). Every HDD manufacturer ships some version of EZ BIOS, usually based on Ontrack's software. And yes it is junk...unless you really need it then its great.
