Hi

I?m looking to build a dual AMD Opteron workstation.

I?m planning to use the following component:
Case: Thermaltake Armor VA8000BWS
PSU: Seasonic S12 Energy Plus SS-650HT 650W
HD: 4 Western digital WD5000YS

For the motherboard, I was thinking about:
Tyan Thunder n6650W S2915 WA2NRF

I would like to know if Asus is making a better motherboard than this Tyan!
In need reliability and performance.

Thank you very much,

Misos

I like Tyan. I've used one desktop board made by them, and it worked fine. I would check Tyan's customer service and rma procedure before deciding.

I also recommend Tyan, not because Asus boards are bad, but, because of good experiences with Tyan, and because they lean more towards the sort of high power non-consumer grade set up you are considering.

Some dual socket 1207 boards to compare side by side, with some good user reviews:

I have read that SuperMicro makes great reliable boards too, but I have never had one--
