Tyan Motherboards

Anyone have one or knows about them, are they good for gaming, wanna hear some input on these boards.

Thanks

Tyan generally makes server mobos. I haven't seen a new ordinary Socket-A mobo since the S2495. The Tyans I've used have all been reliable (mostly Super Socket-7 and Socket-A).

very reliable and stable mobos.. high quality.

if someone asked me to name 3 top brands, they would come to mind.

Tyan mostly makes server and workstation boards, I used the S1854 / Trinity 400 slot1/socket 370 boards alot back in the P3 days, and other than being very fragile (killed 3 of em by putting in more memory /sigh) they were rock solid. Tyan doesn't really make very overclocking friendly boards, but if you want quality and stability they would be one of the first makers I'd be looking at.

Thanks for the imput guys, overclocking is out of my league I think, so not any issue with buying a mobo for gaming.
