Tyan board and power supply

Hi folks,
I was just building up a new number cruncher with 2 quad 2.5GHz Xeon processors on a Tyan i5100x but since I had a spare Zalman 500HP lying around and the board specs claimed ATX12V, 24+8 pin connectors I hooked that up. Sadly this won't boot at all (as in, zip, no video, save for beeping if you pull out all the RAM) and was wondering is it in fact the power supply being incompatible, or whether anyone thinks there's a more drastic problem somewhere?

Board specs: http://www.tyan.com/product_board_spec.aspx?pid=566
Power specs: http://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/pr...oduct_Read.asp?idx=195

Cheers for any input,
rdgh
