What the hell is up with Tyan!? I bought a fscking expensive Thunder100 motherboard from them two years ago and I was promised complete ACPI compliance. But, whenever I try to force ACPI installation on NT 5, my comp won't boot. I've got the latest BIOS but those assholes decided, as of September 2, 1999, the motherboard is now no longer worth their effort to support. On top of all that, Tyan ignores all my emails about this issue and the Tyan NG is full of bitching about their incompetence.
This has been a sweet motherboard but I'm tired of Tyan's bullshit. I'm switching brands. VIA, here I come.

I hear ya. I bought a Tyan trinity 2380 motherboard, and had nothing but trouble with it. It's a KX133 chipset, but it don't work like no kx. It appeared after installing 3 different video cards that the AGP port/ northbridge just weren't holding up. Wen't to their Web sight and it appears it was a common problem because it was the only thing under the FAQ for this board. I had to reverse the bios to an older version(as mine came with what Tyan consideder the'bad bios' version).
Still no luck. E-mailed for tech support, and very quickly got a email in return, only telling me to return to their FAQ site. E-mailed again, got same computer generated response, this time with a link just in case the FAQ didn't help. Followed that link, listed all my problems and I've waited ever since. This has been going on since January 2nd. I have yet to get a tech support e-mail returned to me that is anything but an 'automated aknowledgement of my request' I've e-mailed them probably about 8 to 10 times now. I've returned the motherboard, just hope I get refunded for it as the site I purchased it from was no better with support.
