Two Wireless routers on one cable modem

I have one cable DSL modem and currently have an encrypted Linksys wireless router transmitting.
I received a free Netgear 108 mbs wireless router with purchase of new computer.
How would I set up second router to broadcast open signal for friends when visiting.
Currently I have to give them my code to get on net.
It would be nice to be able to have the open network so they can just connect to the additional wireless router without encryption.
Any help appreciated

wouldnt that just negate the reason for encryption in the first place? thats like locking your car doors with the windows down.

I agree, opening your AP like that get negates the encryption on your other one. No, they wouldn't be able to access your private network but if they (or any other strangers or people sniffing for AP's) downloads or does anything inappropriate, they're coming after YOU!

put the un-encrypted router between your cable modem and secured router. like this:

modem ------------ pr0n
|
|
[internet port]
unsecured router
[switch port]
|
|
[internet port]
secured router

This way your guests can connect to the unsecured router and get to the modem, but be blocked by your router from accessing your network. You secured network will access the internet through your secured router which will access through your unsecured router.
