Two wireless networks available

When I turn the wireless function on my laptop on, my wireless router shows up, as does a neighbors.

Mine is the only one that appears in the Preferred networks box in the "Wireless Network Connection Properties" window. In the available networks, mine shows up as does the neighbors. I click on mine and connect and all is fine, then 10-15 minutes later, I get a pop up that states that "multiple wireless networks" are available and I get disconnected from my connection and have to click on the icon in the task bar, select my network and connect to it. How can I disable my neighbors from even showing up?

Thanks!

If your connection is the only one on the preferred, it should not connect to your Neighbor unless your signal is Not stable. Whether it appears in the list or Not is irrelevant since the signal is in the air no matter what.

Yeah, I don't get it. I have a very-good to excellent signal and my neighbor's is weak. Yet it still states that "One or more wireless networks are available."

really annoying.

The only reason it is popping up, is because you are somehow losing connection to your AP. Change your network preferences to "automatic" and you will automatically reconnect to your network.

some utilties offer an option to ignore networks based on AP mac address and/or SSID. I know the Intel Proset utility offers this.
