Two wireless keyboards, one desk

I've recently added a second Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combination to my computer setup, and it seems they don't play well with each other. I was writing something and having a terrible time with missing letters. Finally, I got the idea to shut down one computer, and sure enough, the conflicts went away and I could write with ease.

Now, I've got the wireless antennas about 5 feet apart, the width of the desk. But I still get warnings saying the signal strength is low, etc. Is there any way to put them on different frequencies or something, so the two don't conflict with each other?

Hum...I'ave two sets of MS mouse & keyboard (one wireless keyboard, one wired keyboard, 2 wireless mouse) on the same desktop (2 different systems) but I never have any interference though... Is your antenna/receptoers close to any fans, microwave, speaker bass...etc area?

No. They are on the top of the desk. They are behind the monitors and away from desktop speakers. The sub is on the floor.

It's definitely an interference problem. If I try to type a lot, like this message, there's notable loss of input. Letters are missing, etc. It sometimes happens when I play EverQuest. ALl of a sudden, the signal goes haywire. I hit the same key over and over and it won't take the input. Or I can't control the movement of my character. Shutting down the second computer is the only way to fix it.

Most of those wireless combos have a channel selector switch that lets you use two sets in the same room. Check the undersides 😉
