Two wireless cards for laptop

Hi. I have a X120e and I have an old wireless card from another laptop. A x120e upgrade guide showed that it can fit a second wireless card. Since nothing's plugged into the port on my x120e at the moment, theres no downside to adding this second card, but why would you want two cards? Is there any advantages to that? Also, any disadvantages of doing it?

Thanks

Two wifi NICs? I don't see the point in honesty. As said,it will lower battery power if both are on at the same time and have network connectivity.

Let me step in an mention....

The second miniPCIe port is for a WWAN (cellular) card, not another WLAN card.

All the cellular cards I have worked with will act as a wifi antennae also, so you are doubling up on the Wifi. So unless you want to do the suggestion for JackMDS, there is no practical reason to do this. downside is depleting your battery faster.
