Two Wifi Routers

Hi,

I want to set up my two wifi routers to expand internet coverage in the house. Here's what I did so far:

Router 1 "downstairs"
Linksys WRT54GS v7.2 flashed with DD-WRT
Local 192.168.1.1
Connected to cable modem (WAN port) and Router 2 (one of LAN ports)
WiFi Settings: set SSID, WPA2 AES, Channel 6

Router 2 "upstairs"
TP-Link TL-WR740N v4.2 default firmware
Local 192.168.0.1
Connected to Router 1 (one of LAN ports)
WiFi Settings: set the same SSID, same password WPA2 AES, Channel 11
DHCP disabled.

Did I set up correctly? Internet seems to be working but I cannot access Router 2 config page anymore. If I type 192.168.1.1 in browser I reach DD-WRT/Router 1. But if I type 192.168.0.1 nothing appears. How can I access the second router? TY.

Yes, if you want to be able to access both router's config pages, their LAN IPs need to be on the same subnet.

Try changing router #2, from 192.168.0.1, to 192.168.1.2.

Hello again.

This setup is working on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.04 devices but it's not working on Android Jelly Bean phones and Windows XP. Why is that?

TY

It should be platform-agnostic. Perhaps those incompatible devices would have trouble with that router anyway, even in a "normal" configuration...?
