if you are a MALE.... SHOP in the MENS DEPARTMENT.

Every time i see a guy wearing girls pants, I laugh inside and wonder why he is doing that. They look bad and stupid.

To the guy out there thinking he is hot with his size 1, ultra-skinny jeans that are too big in the ass... I am not looking at you thinking to myself "do i want to get with you", but rather... "Were there no sales in the Young Mens Department this week?"

It's gong to be difficult to go against you here since I don't think ATOT is particularly fashioned inclined. You might not be either. I think the trend has definitely moved towards slimmer denim, and one of particularly better cuts and quality (ie selvage). I don't really know any women who know anything about jeans (no, your Sev7ens and True Republic are not all that).

My friend told me once that according to etiquette rules it's actually proper to eat asparagus with your fingers and not to cut them. Her parents suggest she try it in the restaurant but she couldn't because nobody else would recognize it. In the same way, I don't think you, or most people here would be able to spot fashion if you saw it.

To clarify, I too am against what you call men wearing women's jeans but I also know that what you may jokingly (or seriously) call women's jeans are actually a slimmer cut of men's jeans.

How would you know they were women's pants, especially jeans? Unless they have some girly design (flower etc.) on them I don't know how you'd spot them. What I don't get is the super tight jeans that I see a lot of punk rocker looking kids wearing.

However I can't even figure out the purpose of rolling up one pant leg? Is it to show off your shoe(s)?

I drove by a hospital today and a guy had one pant leg rolled up right up to his knee. I rolled the window down and asked why he did that. He just looked at me in a thuggish kind of way and started saying something in spanish.

wtf does it mean/symbolize?

well i know that it does actually have a purpose if you are riding a bicycle and you have baggy pants. you roll the right one up, and the sprocket/chain will not get the pants all greasy and torn.

but thats not the reason gangsters do it. who knows why. maybe they find ankles sexy.

This guy was no BMXer.

he was either selling or buying drugs, one leg means selling the other means looking to buy

That is the most common meaning. If a pant leg is tucked into a boot, that indicates the wearer is "packing heat". There is also another way to wear them to indicate that the wearer got laid the previous evening but I don't recall what that is.

If I ride my bike with jeans on, I roll the right leg up so it doesn't get caught in the chain (which happens a lot if i don't roll it up).

Next time come to a stop and ask. He didn't understand what you said and was pissed you drove through the ambulance bay at 60mph.

Now, it just means they are gay and not with the current fashion

Is it Ok for girls to wear guys clothes?

You think it looks bad, yet they, and others may think it looks good.
Theres different tastes in this world. Don't worry yourself over it or pass judgment based on it.

Of course that's okay, guys' clothes are more comfortable. Everything is more loose, the pockets in our pants are a lot bigger (you can't put hardly anything in the pockets of girls' pants), and girls in button-down shirts look hotter.

Why would a guy want to wear less comfortable, more expensive clothes? Girl pants don't look good on guys. People who think so are just wrong, and have inferior genes (pun not intended)

I am very fashion inclinded yet there are things that I think look bad.
Fortunatly, the ultra skinny legged jean has seen its day once again and is on the edge of dyikng out. The wideleg trouser jean is comng back.... for females anyway. I see nothing wrong with wearing a slimmer fit and think it is better than the baggy "gansta" jeans that were once the fashion many years ago.

And, just because i do not spend $500 on one pair of jeans does not mean I do not know what is fashionable or what looks good.

Mens jeans are cut and made for a mans body. Womens jeans/pants are cut and made for the (usually) curvier female.

I am just voicing my opinion on this. I don't care what others wear, I simply think it looks bad.

In regards to someone asking if I think it is ok for women to wear mens clothes... I also think that looks bad. However, again, I know there are some trends that come and go that have women wearing "men's wear" inspired pants or shirts. Eventhough they may look like men's, they are cut for women.

I guess in the end, I would love to see women embrace their bodies no matter the size or shape and wear things that flatter them... not hide them, nor squeeze the fat somewhere it shouldn't be. I would love to see men do the same... flatter the assest they have and embrace the fact that they are different from women.
