two sticks of ram, only one shows up?

I just bought a refurbed epox 8k7a from newegg and it looked pretty bad when it arrived. It was all dusty and there was a big ding in one corner, so i was going to return it for another, but all the parts arrived for my new system. I couldn't help my self and starting building. It powered up and is running win98se, xp1600 (not oc'd), smc 1244tx nic, and a radeon 7000 vid card. The 4in1's are updated and all seems to be going well, except that opnly one stick of my ram is shwoing up. Its crucial 256 pc 2100 from the best buy deal, and I know both sticks are good, becuase I swicthed each out one at a time to see if they both worked.

Is there something in bios that needs changed ot a jumper somewhere. etc? I quite sure there isn't, but maybe I'm missing something that I overlooked? I'm thinking that the motherboard is bad? Are there any progs that will help me figure out what is going on? I was going to RMA the board in the first place, but would rather not if possible now that it seems to be working up to par? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Sean

According to another thread (perhaps on Gen Hardw) some Crucial modules can be less than social when it comes to getting along w/ other modules. Do a search on Crucial in both this and GH sections, there may be something there for you.
