Two sound card icons

I have two icons for my soundcard (Gamesurround Fortissimo 2) in my little row of icons to the lower right. Any idea how I can get rid of them? Thanks.

One of them may be the standard Windows audio icon, the other would be the Hercules branded control panel icon. You can disable the Windows icon in Control Panel, since usually you'd want to have quick access to the Hercules setup.

They're both Herc icons. I'd like to get rid of one of 'em permanently.

srart/run, then type msconfig go to startup and uncheck the soundcard item for the Gamesurround Fortissimo 2
edit=spelling

Or generally the software panel options for the icon will have an item to start with Windows or not.
