Two seperate audio outputs?

Right now I have a couple TV tuner cards in my computer running a tivo like application called GBPVR (which is awesome by the way). My computer is hooked up to my TV with a s-video cable from the video card and a stereo cable from the sound card. I use a remote control connected to my tuner card to do all the controlling on the TV, so it's really like tivo. I can still run applications on my my monitor, but every sound that is made by the PC is output on the TV. I'd like to have just the television shows sound to come through the TV and all the PC noises to come through the PC speakers so I can play Halo through the PC speakers while someone else is watching TV. Is this possible? Maybe using the sound on the motherboard somehow?

Dual soundcards is possible, but I haven't tried it myself. I'm not sure if running integrated and a soundcard at the same time works well. You'd have to set a preference for what sound device the program would use.

I know some people run a card for music and one for gaming over at headfi.org so you might want to head over there with this question.
