Very simple question -- hope there is a correspondingly simple answer.
When I click on My Computer, the resulting display shows four CD drives; two of which are actually installed and two of which are not. I have a TDK CD writer and a CompUSA CD reader so I can copy CDs on the fly. Those show as they should. But two others also show up that in Device Manager have the detailed descriptions:
ELBY DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device
and
IY2033G BOQ209V SCSI CdRom Device
I have no idea where these entries came from and can find no obvious way to remove these phantom CD drives. Their presence is not a problem, but I would rather remove them if I could.
Anyone have any suggestions of what these are or how they can be removed?
Thanks for you help.
