two sata cards + onboard sata, works?

If I get two of these + use the onboard sata ports, would it work?

Also is eSata the same thing as regular sata? Since that would give me 4 more ports for an external raid 10 array in the future.

Why wouldn't it work?

And eSATA is exactly the same as internal SATA, just that it has a different connector.

You can get cables that change eSATA into SATA for using internal hard drives externally.

Good to know it would work. I just figured it could maybe cause a conflict to have two.

You can add a whole bunch and you'll be fine. Bear in mind if you're installing an OS on a drive connected to a SATA port on a peripheral card you may need drivers at install time, not sure.
