I've got an Ericsson r300d, it's been a good phone so far, but certain things make me want to switch to a different model. The most annoying thing is I'll look at the signal meter, have 3 out of 5 bars, make a call and immediatly it drops to 1 bar (usually drops 2 bars on average). Is this common with all digital phones, or is it just because I have one with an internal antenna? On the digital network it's not a problem, but my provider lets me roam (in analog mode) in a certain area I'm in a lot, and it's VERY annoying there because it cuts out badly for whoever I'm calling.

This leads me to my next question. If this is just because I've got a shítty phone, I'll buy another one. My cell provider (centennial wireless) is advertising the Nokia 3560 in their ads, however I also know the v60i from Motorola will work. I can unlock the 3560 and the v60i shouldn't be much trouble, is there anywhere (besides ebay) I can purchase a cell phone either without a contract or without a set provider (I realize this will be expensive). Both (the nokia and v60i) are running ~200ish on ebay at the moment.
