two routers, one network..is this possible?

I've got two routers connected in series (one in my basement connected to the cable modem and going to all sides of the house). Another router is in my room; i've got the one ethernet cable in my room plugged into the WAN port of the router, which connects my xbox/pc/laptop to the network. While I can access the internet, I can't access my fileserver which is connected directly to the main router.

I'm sure there's a simple solution...however google isn't my friend today. Help! 😀

!!!

Wow. I wasn't expecting a reply this quick (if at all), so thanks! 😀 Going to take a glance at it and work with it, i'll keep you updated.

Oh ok, that makes sense..kind of similar to what I had to do to get that bridge setup..trying it now.. 🙂

Wow...I was having a really hard time getting that method to work.

I completely missed the tab on my router setup screen that said "use as access point" ... tried that and everything started working instantly -- awesome.

Thanks. 🙂
